Hedge Fund Trade Support

Role Overview

A leading global hedge fund is looking to hire a Trade Support Specialist to join its Asia Operations team. The role will work closely with Portfolio Managers and Execution Traders, providing end-to-end trade support across multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor trading activity and ensure accurate, timely trade capture across voice and electronic executions.
• Manage the full trade lifecycle, including bookings, amendments and lifecycle events.
• Maintain instrument, trader, fund and other static data to support accurate trade processing and STP.
• Reconcile internal positions and trade details against external counterparties on T0 and resolve breaks promptly.
• Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Execution Traders, Operations, Middle Office, Fund Control, Risk and other internal teams.
• Support new business initiatives, including onboarding new traders, funds and products.
• Identify and implement process improvements, technology enhancements and risk-mitigation initiatives.
• Maintain procedures and support team training and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in Trade Support, Trade Assistance or a similar front-office operations role.
• Degree in a numerate discipline.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, products and front-to-back processes.
• Good understanding of operational risk, controls and trade lifecycle management.
• Experience working directly with Portfolio Managers and/or Traders in a front-office environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail, ownership and a proactive approach.

Desirable

• Advanced Excel; VBA, SQL or Python experience.
• Cross-asset exposure across Fixed Income, FX, Credit, Rates, Equities and/or ETDs.
• Track record of process improvement or technology-driven enhancements.
