Helpdesk Support Technician
Overview
Flanigan’s Enterprises is looking to add a highly skilled and qualified person to our IT Team as a Help Desk Support Technician. Candidate must be willing to work weekends. Be proficient in troubleshooting issues with POS, computers, printers and network systems.
Responsibilities
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in via phone, chat or email
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Research questions using available information resources
- Advise user on appropriate action
- Follow up with users to ensure complete resolution of issues
- Redirect problems to correct resource
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks and Wide Area networks
- Answer inquiries regarding POS systems
- Maintain detailed records of daily communication, issues and remedial actions taken in our Helpdesk application
Qualifications
- Computer Science Degree \ Certifications or prior Help Desk support experience
- Basic computer troubleshooting knowledge
- Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
- Working knowledge of computer networks
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer service tendencies
- A willingness to learn the troubleshooting process
- Able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor on the phone
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to multi-task on several projects
- Direct experience in the restaurant industry or other POS system a plus
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
- Candidate will be trained on troubleshooting to be able to resolve POS issues.
