Helpdesk Technician
Salary: Salary commensurate with experience
The RoleAt Walter & Wild, we're passionate about creating some of New Zealand's favourite food brands. We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Helpdesk Technician to join our team and help support the technology that keeps our business running.
You'll be the first point of contact for IT support, helping users resolve technical issues, setting up devices, maintaining user accounts, and ensuring our people have the technology they need to do their jobs effectively.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years' experience looking to grow their career in IT.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support to users across the business (Level 1 + 2)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and basic network issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
- Assist with Active Directory user administration, password resets, and access requests
- Log, track, and escalate tickets where required
- Maintain IT asset records and documentation
- Assist with IT projects and technology upgrades as needed
- Graduate to 2 years' experience in an IT Support, Helpdesk, Service Desk, or a similar role
- Relevant qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others
- Eagerness to learn and develop your technical skills
