- The Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist (AHWFB) Section of Gastroenterology & Hepatology has an exciting opportunity for a board-certified/eligible Hepatologist to join our Faculty as we continue to grow our regional footprint in liver care and liver transplantation in the Southeast
- The Faculty position will be based in Winston-Salem, NC where clinical roles include outpatient hepatology clinics, inpatient hepatology consult service, and endoscopy. There is an opportunity to spend dedicated time as the Attending on the inpatient Transplant Hepatology service at our transplant center, Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center (AH CMC), located in Charlotte, NC
- The AH CMC transplant program performed 130 liver transplants in 2025 and includes 6 transplant hepatologists and 6 transplant surgeons. In addition, there is a dedicated transplant oncology clinic to evaluate patients with metastatic colorectal cancer, neuroendocrine tumors and other malignancies for liver transplantation. Charlotte is the North American headquarters for IRCAD, a state of the art surgical and technology innovation center
- The Faculty role will offer robust teaching opportunities as Faculty of the Wake Forest School of Medicine
