Role: HGV Technician

Location: Croydon, CR0 4YL

Hours: 45 hours per week | between 07:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday

Salary: between £45,442.80 - £50,310 pa DOE

Are you an experienced technician with a strong interest in vehicle maintenance and repair? We’re looking for a skilled and detail-focused HGV Technician to join our Aftermarket team. This role supports the maintenance and repair of HGVs and refuse collection vehicles, helping to ensure vehicles are safe, compliant, and ready for customer use.

What you'll do:

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment
  • Service vehicles in line with DVSA/VOSA standards and prepare for MOT inspections
  • Complete body and chassis repairs in line with Department for Transport requirements
  • Maintain accurate service records and update job details on company systems
  • Engage with customers professionally when working on-site
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with quality, safety, and company standards
  • Follow health & safety procedures and carry out risk assessments where required
  • Continue developing technical skills through training and upskilling

What you'll bring:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance
  • Experience in commercial vehicle or HGV repair and servicing
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Understanding of vehicle electrics, hydraulics, and wiring diagrams
  • Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to organise your work and manage time effectively
  • Flexibility to travel and support overtime when required
