High Value Parts Supervisor
The High Value Parts Supervisor is responsible for overseeing High Value Core (HVC) operations across multiple locations. This position provides leadership, operational direction, and performance oversight to ensure consistent execution of inventory recovery, shipping, safety, quality, and productivity standards. The Supervisor partners closely with Plant Managers and High Value Parts Leads to develop teams, improve processes, maximize recovery of high-value inventory, and ensure company standards are consistently met.
This position requires regular travel between assigned locations and serves as the primary operational resource for all High Value Core activities within the assigned market.
Essential Job Duties
Multi-Site Operations
- Oversee High Value Core operations across multiple assigned locations.
- Ensure consistent execution of company standards, processes, and best practices.
- Conduct routine site visits to evaluate operations, inventory management, safety, productivity, and quality.
- Partner with Plant Managers to improve operational performance and address opportunities.
- Assist with new store openings, acquisitions, operational transitions, and special projects as assigned.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development to High Value Parts Leads and team members.
- Establish performance expectations and monitor productivity across all assigned locations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and follow-up visits.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning for High Value Core operations.
- Identify training opportunities and ensure all team members are properly trained on company procedures.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Inventory & Production Management
- Ensure daily strategies are executed to maximize recovery of high-value cores and parts.
- Monitor production metrics, inventory levels, and recovery rates across assigned locations.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure all required parts are identified, removed, documented, and processed accurately.
- Review inventory accuracy and ensure proper storage and handling of high-value inventory.
Logistics & Documentation
- Ensure Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documents, and inventory records are completed accurately.
- Coordinate with freight carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding shipments and logistics.
- Review production reports and inventory data for accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and company reporting systems to analyze operational performance.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce all OSHA, EPA, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Conduct routine safety observations and operational audits.
- Maintain organized, safe, and compliant work environments across all assigned locations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and operational procedures.
Operational Support
- Provide hands-on assistance during periods of high workload, staffing shortages, or operational needs.
- Assist with pulling high-value parts using hand tools when necessary.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and recommend solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides direct leadership and coaching to High Value Parts Leads and assigned team members across multiple locations.
- Assists with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Monitors productivity, quality, and performance metrics.
- Develops future leaders through mentoring and cross-training initiatives.
