Highway Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency.
• Implement quality control and assurance procedures throughout the construction process.
• Ensure compliance with national and international highway engineering codes and standards.

• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Enforce safety guidelines to minimize workplace hazards.

• Collaborate with government agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site staff.

• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of project specifications, contracts, and design changes.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in highway construction, road design, or infrastructure development.
• Familiar with design software.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in diverse and remote locations with multi-stakeholder teams.
• Experience with construction management practices and contract administration
