Job Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: Hybrid Location: Albany, NY Pay: Albany : $44–$60/hour
Design the roads, intersections, and trails that connect New York communities. Creighton Manning is growing its Highway Design Group. As a licensed Project Engineer, you'll lead highway design work and manage smaller projects from start to finish, partnering with traffic, structural, and construction inspection teams. With a strong pipeline of secured work, you can focus on engineering—not business development.
What You Will Do
- Design roadways, trails, sidewalks, and intersections, including roundabouts and traffic signals.
- Check calculations and prepare construction contract documents.
- Coordinate with clients and multidiscipline teams, and present at project meetings.
- Prepare reports, estimates, and basic proposals.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and technicians.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's in engineering (ABET/EAC accredited).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 8+ years of highway or roadway design experience.
- MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoTurn proficiency.
- Working knowledge of the NYSDOT Highway Design Manual.
- Active member of a professional organization.
- Occasional after-hours work for deadlines and meetings.
