HipTen - Salesforce Consultant
Lead projects for insurance customers and grow your consulting career.
$5k-$7k/month | Full-time | Daily overlap with US Eastern TimeWe're HipTen, a boutique Salesforce consulting firm that specialises in helping insurance companies across the US get the most out of their CRM systems.
Our clients range from growing agencies with 50 employees to established firms with 500+ staff, and they trust us to deliver solutions that genuinely improve how they work. We pride ourselves on being technical enough to solve complex problems, but personable enough to explain everything in plain English.
We're a close-knit group that values collaboration, curiosity, and doing great work without the ego. We celebrate when our clients succeed, we support each other when projects get challenging, and we're always looking to grow and improve.
If you're looking for a place where your technical skills and people skills both matter equally, you'll fit right in!
We're looking for a Salesforce Consultant who can be the bridge between our insurance clients and our technical team. You'll be the trusted advisor who helps clients articulate what they need, then translates that into practical Salesforce solutions that actually work. This isn't a behind-the-scenes role - you'll be front and centre, leading conversations, presenting designs, and building relationships.
In this role, you will:
π Conduct requirements gathering sessions with customers, document their needs, create user stories and design documents
π» Create prototypes to show customers before development begins
π Conduct demos of work completed by the development team and collect feedback
β Assist during UAT to ensure everything works as expected
π Train customers on new functionality and help them get comfortable with the system
π Assist with data imports and migrations
Working Hours : This is a full-time contractor position. You'll need daily overlap with US Eastern Time (typically until 2pm ET), though on days without scheduled calls you can finish earlier.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you need:
β 3-5 years of hands-on Salesforce implementation experience
β Experience working across multiple different Salesforce environments (not just one company or customer)
β Background working for smaller boutique agencies where you've juggled multiple projects simultaneously
β Strong technical understanding - whether that's from being a Salesforce admin, developer, or consultant
β Proven client-facing experience, comfortable leading virtual meetings and building rapport
β Ability to create documentation like user stories, design documents, data models, and data flow diagrams
Brownie points for:
β Insurance or financial services industry experience
β Previous technical experience with other software products before Salesforce (other CRMs, software development, web development, marketing technology)
β Solution architect background
The right person for this role can think on their feet and design solutions during client conversations. You can explain complex technical concepts in ways that make sense to non-technical stakeholders.
You're warm and friendly, genuinely enjoy working with a team, and you're comfortable on video calls building relationships with clients you may never meet in person. You have a growth mindset and welcome feedback because you're always looking to improve.
Most importantly, you can juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball, and you do it all without bringing ego to the table.
