Backend Engineer responsible for building the core systems behind an AI operating system for supply chain operations. The role involves building backend services using Java 17+, Spring, Hibernate, and related technologies, while owning systems from idea to design to production to learning.

- Build backend services using Java 17+, Spring, Hibernate, and related technologies.
- Work on web application development, cloud infrastructure, databases, messaging systems, caching systems, reliability, observability, and production support for AI used by large enterprise customers.
- Own meaningful parts of the backend from idea to design to production to learning.
- Build systems that survive production and take ownership beyond just writing code.
- Work directly with the CTO to build the core systems behind the product.
- Work with PostgreSQL, PgVector, Redis, Kafka, RocketMQ, or similar systems.
- Build reliable, maintainable, secure, and easy to debug systems.
- Experiment, iterate, and translate fast moving AI capabilities into reliable product outcomes.

- 4-12 years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong hands on experience with Java 17 or above.
- Good experience with Spring, Hibernate, and backend application development.
- Experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting production grade systems.
- Hands on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Comfort working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
