Hiring: IOT Engineer

We are looking for a motivated IoT Engineer to support the development, integration, and deployment of Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and power monitoring applications. This role combines software development, industrial communications, and field system integration to ensure seamless connectivity between industrial equipment, IoT devices, and monitoring platforms.

Key Responsibilities

System Integration & Deployment

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders during the installation and commissioning of digital power meters, IoT gateways, routers, and communication equipment.
• Ensure deployed systems meet project requirements, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities during project implementation.

Industrial Communication & Connectivity

• Analyze electrical drawings, control schematics, and communication documentation to configure and integrate industrial devices.
• Develop and implement communication interfaces between BESS, controllers, field devices, and monitoring systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, MQTT, RS232/RS485, and TCP/IP .
• Ensure reliable data collection, transmission, and interoperability across connected assets.

Software Development & Integration

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using technologies such as Node.js, JavaScript, Python, and Node-RED .
• Enhance existing software solutions and support integration with monitoring platforms.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and functionality.

Operations & Maintenance

• Monitor the performance of deployed IoT and power monitoring systems.
• Investigate and resolve communication, network, and integration issues.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering , Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in IoT, industrial automation, system integration, or industrial communications.
• Practical experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, MQTT, TCP/IP, RS232, and RS485 .
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Node.js, JavaScript, Python, Node-RED, or R .
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, particularly in complex integration environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites within Singapore when required
