Job Description – Purchase Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with strong expertise in raw material procurement, vendor development, negotiation, and end-to-end purchasing for heavy equipment/engineering manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end procurement of raw materials, maintenance, and industrial requirements.
  
• Manage domestic, service, and import procurement.
  
• Ensure timely material availability and prevent production/line stoppages.
  
• Develop and manage vendors; conduct supplier evaluation and performance analysis.
  
• Negotiate pricing and drive cost savings.
  
• Manage inventory and material requirements.
  
• Coordinate material inward, accounting, and payment processes.
  
• Prepare MIS reports, presentations, ISO documentation, and procurement records.
  
• Ensure compliance with GST and MSME requirements.
  
• Understand engineering drawings and costing for procurement.
  

Requirements

• B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory.
  
• Minimum 7 years of relevant procurement experience.
  
• Strong experience in raw material procurement.
  
• Heavy Equipment / Engineering Manufacturing experience preferred.
  
• SAP experience – Mandatory.
  
• Telugu proficiency – Mandatory.
  
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and costing.
  
• Excellent vendor development, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
  
• Experience in inventory management and cost reduction.
  
• Relocation to Hyderabad can be considered for suitable candidates who are proficient in Telugu.
