Hmong Youth Jumpstart Program Coordinator-School year
Part time position, 2-4 days per week at McKinley Elementary School Site, 3:30pm-6pm .
The Hmong Jump Start Coordinator is responsible for creating and delivering fun, engaging, and culturally-rooted programming for Hmong club members in grades 1–6. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about sharing Hmong language, traditions, and cultural identity with youth in an interactive, supportive, and meaningful way.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable, and excited about building positive relationships with young people while planning hands-on activities that celebrate Hmong heritage. No specific degree is required—skill, passion, and cultural knowledge are what matter most.
What you'll do:
- Plan and lead interactive, age-appropriate cultural lessons and activities focused on Hmong language, traditions, and identity
- Create a safe, welcoming, and culturally affirming environment for members in grades 1–6
- Build strong, positive relationships with youth and provide supportive mentorship
- Implement daily programming that is fun, engaging, and aligned with program goals
- Motivate youth, encourage participation, and help manage behavior in constructive ways
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with staff, club members, and families
- Ensure youth safety through proper supervision and adherence to organizational policies
