The Home Delivered Meals Driver is responsible for transporting home delivered meals for the Department’s nutrition services program to clients in Tioga County
Workweek is Monday – Friday, 10am-2pm (20 hours per week). The pay rate is $16.00/hr.

Duties include:
- Load and transport food from the central kitchen to home delivered meals (HDM) clients
- Remove equipment/debris daily; maintains and clean vehicles weekly
- Maintain vehicle operation through daily maintenance checks and refueling
- Maintain HDM meal temperature log
- Assist with end of day clean up in the nutrition program
- Recognizes conditions or circumstances that affect participants health and/or safety and makes referrals to department staff where appropriate
- Complies with the Safety and Health Policy Standards in all work situations
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age, have and maintain a valid driver’s license, and have a level of experience acceptable to the Agency
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to work well with others
Physical Demands
- Utilizes vision to drive, read directions, street signs, etc.
- Lifts HDM containers before and after use, and deliveries of 40 pounds
- Assists in the lifting of deliveries more than 40 pounds
- Walks and carries HDM containers to and from central kitchen as well as to and from van to client homes
- Talks and listens to communicate with co-workers and clients
- Reaches for, bends, and lifts containers of meals
- Cleans HDM containers after usage
- Inspects vehicle to check fluids, lights, tires, etc.
