Home Delivery Dispatcher
The Cannabis Home Delivery Dispatcher coordinates and monitors all home delivery operations to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient service for medical cannabis patients. This role serves as the communication hub between the retail location, delivery drivers, and patients, ensuring routes are optimized, orders are processed accurately, and all activities followeach stateregulations and company SOPs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Delivery Coordination & Oversight
- Assign, schedule, and dispatch delivery routes to drivers based on order volume,geographic zones, and driver availability.
- Track driver locations and delivery progress in real time using dispatch software.
- Adjust routes as needed to accommodate traffic, weather, and urgent customer/patient needs.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all orders have complete and accurate delivery manifests in accordance withstateregulations.
- Monitor that drivers verify valid patient or caregiver ID and active registration before completing deliveries.
- Maintain delivery logs,state systementries, and other required records for auditing purposes.
- Communication & Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during delivery shifts, resolving issues quickly and within policy.
- Communicate delays, changes, or issues tocustomers/patients in a timely, professional manner.
- Collaborate with retailand customer carestaff to ensure accurate order staging and timely driver departures.
- Respond to customer/patient inquirieson delivery via phone, live chat and email
- Supports Customer Care overflow calls when volume dictates
- Operational Excellence
- Monitor inventory movement from retail to delivery in compliance with state transport requirements.
- Support cash handling compliance, including confirming collection amounts match order totals.
- Assist with training new drivers on routing, compliance, and customer serviceexpectations
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Must beat least 21 years of age.
- Strong multitasking, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with dispatch, logistics, or route coordinationrequired(cannabis industry experience a plus).
- Proficient in using routing, GPS, or dispatch software.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
