Summary
Assists in maintaining plants, trees, and landscapes while learning horticultural practices under supervision in Singapore.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (and Saturdays when required)
Salary: Internship allowance provided (commensurate with experience and school requirements)
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Horticulturist Intern to join our landscaping team. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in plant care, landscape maintenance, and horticultural operations. You will work alongside experienced horticulturists and gain practical knowledge of Singapore's landscaping and greenery industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and care of trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and ornamental plants.
- Support planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, mulching, and weeding activities.
- Conduct routine inspections to monitor plant health and identify pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Assist in implementing pest and disease control measures under supervision.
- Help maintain landscape quality and ensure work areas are clean and safe.
- Record plant maintenance activities and assist with inventory of plants and horticultural materials.
- Support landscape improvement projects and seasonal planting programmes.
- Comply with workplace safety procedures and environmental best practices.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Biology, or a related field.
- Passionate about plants, nature, and environmental sustainability.
- Willing to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Physically fit and able to carry out field-based tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, eager to learn, and able to work independently.
