Hospice Volunteer
Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness who might be near the end of life. They help family caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospices also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fundraising, community outreach and other operational areas.

Salary Range: $12 to $15 per hour
Job Overview:
As a Hospice Volunteer at Essence Hospice Care of Arizona, you will have the opportunity to provide companionship and support to individuals living with a serious illness who may be near the end of life. You will also assist family caregivers and support our operational areas through various tasks. This role is an essential part of our team, as volunteers play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to hospice patients
- Assist family caregivers with daily tasks and respite care
- Help with office work, fundraising, community outreach, and other operational tasks as needed
- Attend trainings and meetings as required by the hospice program
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all hospice policies and procedures
Requirements:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to complete required training and background check
