About the Team
The Lakewood Health System Pharmacy team plays an integral role in providing safe, effective, and evidence-based medication management throughout the organization. Supporting hospital pharmacy, oncology pharmacy, and infusion services, the team collaborates closely with providers, nursing, operational leaders, and other departments to ensure patients receive high-quality pharmaceutical care.
Mission for Position
The Hospital Pharmacy Director provides leadership and oversight of hospital pharmacy operations, oncology pharmacy, and infusion medication management services to ensure safe, effective, compliant, and patient-centered medication use throughout Lakewood Health System.
Position Summary
The Hospital Pharmacy Director provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for hospital pharmacy, oncology pharmacy, and infusion medication management services. This position oversees medication procurement, preparation, dispensing, distribution, inventory management, medication safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and pharmacy information systems while supporting the continued advancement of clinical pharmacy services. The Hospital Pharmacy Director leads and develops pharmacy personnel, promotes a collaborative and accountable team culture, supports departmental budgeting and financial performance, and partners with providers, nursing leadership, administration, and other departments to advance safe and effective medication management throughout Lakewood Health System. The director also maintains the ability to perform clinical pharmacist duties as needed.
