Hospital Therapy Director

Exalt Health, an acute rehabilitation hospital, provides an intensive rehabilitation program, and admitted patients must be able to tolerate three hours of intense rehabilitation services per day. Focused on caring for patients with complex rehabil-itative needs such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, head trauma, medically debilitation conditions, neurological disorders, cardio-pulmonary amputations, orthopedic injuries, and multiple major traumas.

Position Summary

As the Therapy Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing our team of dedicated therapists. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the therapy department, promoting exceptional patient care, and fostering a positive and productive work environment for your team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to therapy teams (PT, OT, SLP).
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure all therapy teams are adhering to department protocols, documentation standards, and professional ethics.
• Recruit, interview, and hire qualified therapists.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
• Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.
• Maintain open communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care.
• Analyze and track department performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in rehabilitation therapy.
