The Hospitality Coordinator involves supporting the Orient Express Sailing Yachts team in various projects related to the pre-opening process and the operations of the sailing vessels. Acting at the intersection of strategy and execution, the role ensures the successful coordination of projects while upholding the standards of the Orient Express brand.

This includes brainstorming innovative concepts, optimizing projected resources, and translating theoretical strategies into practical applications.He (or she) collaborates with Orient Express brand team and is an ambassador of the brand.

The Hospitality Coordinator shall build the basis of the onboarding Orient Express experience for the future crew that shall be joining the vessel with the assistance of our crewing department, together with the hospitality department.

Participate to the construction of the guest experience to ensure that it will be up to the expectations from our clients and from the industry. Collaborate with the OE team shoreside to create and develop a lifetime unique experience that blends navigation, hotel, F&B and shoreside activities (pre, during, and post voyage).

We are strongly convinced that some of our future crew members are currently or soon students from different Hospitality schools around the world, the Hospitality Coordinator will have this very important role to develop some partnerships with these schools for us to ensure the high level of service and standards of on-board guest experience in the upcoming years.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Internal: Orient Express ultra-luxury sailing yacht cruises hospitality.
- External: Business partners, travel trade, other PR related people and organizations.
- Materials: All related materials within his area of responsibility.

  • Project Delivery & Ownership: Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic hospitality projects, including openings and system implementations.
    • Define and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
    • Apply and enforce hospitality frameworks, methodologies, and reporting standards across all projects.
    • Drive continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and templates.
    • Ensure consistency, transparency, and compliance across hospitality operations.
    • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Manage issues and escalations with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
  • OESY Ambassador Representation: Act as the Hospitality Coordinator ambassador for brand values, guest experience expectations, and operational excellence internally and externally.
    • Representing Silenseas on all Hospitality school campuses – create brand awareness amongst young hospitality talents and support the visibility through career fair and on-campus presentations.
    • Build content for a student course about cruising industry - Evaluate the feasibility of the integration of a student course being part of their school course and develop its content and co-develop its content with the OE team.
  • Project Coordination & Administrative follow-up: Assist the hospitality team in all administrative tasks.
    • Oversee and coordinate multiple concurrent projects within the hospitality portfolio.
    • Deliver consolidated reporting on project performance, including KPIs, risks, and progress updates.
    • Support project prioritization based on strategic objectives and business impact.
    • Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring tasks are executed according to plan.
    • Track project progress, dependencies, and deadlines across multiple teams
    • Support cross-functional teams with scheduling, documentation, and issue resolution.
    • Facilitate meetings, follow-ups, and ensure alignment between corporate and property-level teams.
  • Recruitment Process & Administrative follow-up:
    • Assist the hospitality team during the whole recruitment campaign to follow up with ongoing interviews of the candidates selected for OESY.
  • Master's Degree (Bac + 5)
  • Years of experience: 5–7 years
  • Key skills: ability to take initiative, independence, attention to detail, flexibility
  • English and French language skills required
