Summary

Serves food and drinks in a care-home café, maintains cleanliness, and assists with kitchen prep during daytime hours at a fixed hourly rate.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Hourly rate: £13.45 per hour

Job Purpose:

To provide a food and drink service in a welcoming, clean environment for our residents/customers in our village cafe.

Key Outcomes/Results:

  • Creates a welcoming environment for residents and customers in our village restaurants with a focus on customer service and providing a wide variety of food and drinks. Builds a rapport with residents.
  • Provides a café/barista service in the village restaurants.
  • Supports team members by assisting in the preparation of food and beverages.
  • Responsible for day-to-day cleanliness, hygiene and washing up after a food service.
  • Safely closes down the kitchen at the end of the day in line with protocols in preparation for the next day. Removes waste.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Knowledge and experience of good food hygiene practices
  • Knowledge of health and safety principles
  • Good standard of general education

Desirable:

  • Food hygiene qualification level 2
  • Diploma (or NVQ) level 1 Catering/Food Service or equivalent
  • Experience working in a busy café/restaurant environment

5 days over 7.

Salary Ranges:

£26,227.50 - £26,227.50
