Woods Hole Golf Club is seeking friendly, organized, and service-oriented individuals to join our Food & Beverage team as Hosts/Hostesses. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with people and takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming first impression.
Whether you’re experienced in hospitality or new to the industry, we offer a supportive, team driven environment where you can learn, grow, and be part of a professional private club with a strong sense of community.
Position Details:
Status: Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
Schedule: Day & evening shifts available; weekend availability required
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome members and guests with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Manage seating and assign tables efficiently to support smooth service flow
- Learn and recognize members’ names and preferences
- Answer phones, manage reservations, and assist with takeout orders
- Maintain an organized and welcoming host stand, entrance, and waiting areas
- Direct guests to dining areas, events, and private functions
- Communicate closely with management and service staff to coordinate seating
- Complete opening and closing checklists
- Go above and beyond to accommodate special requests and enhance the member experience
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Friendly, polished, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Seasonal and local candidates encouraged to apply
- U.S. work authorization
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to stand and move throughout the clubhouse for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a lively, fast-paced environment
