The Federal Grill is looking to hire Hosts!
We’re looking for a Lead Host who embodies warmth, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality. As the first and last impression of our guests’ experience, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a seamless and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they walk through our doors — or make their first reservation.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage guests with genuine hospitality and professionalism
- Manage and optimize reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments using OpenTable
- Lead the host stand team with confidence and grace during peak service hours
- Communicate effectively with management and service teams to ensure smooth guest flow
- Anticipate guest needs and personalize experiences whenever possible
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and seating preferences with attention to detail
- Support training and development of new hosts and assist with scheduling as needed
Qualifications
- Previous OpenTable experience required (knowledge of guest profiles, table mapping, and pacing tools)
- At least 1 year of host/lead host experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Calm, confident, and solution-oriented under pressure
- A natural leader who can motivate and guide a team with positivity
- A professional appearance and a warm, guest-first attitude
