Right in the heart of State College, PA, you'll find the area's newest and most exciting entertainment destination. Happy Valley Casino, located inside The Nittany Mall, has brought the region's first-ever gaming facility to life. Featuring over 600 slot machines, 30+ table games, cocktail service, and multiple dining venues, we're quickly becoming the premier entertainment destination in Happy Valley.

We're seeking friendly, energetic, and guest-focused Host/Hostess Cashiers to join our Food & Beverage team. In this highly visible role, you'll create lasting first impressions by welcoming guests, managing seating, handling transactions, and ensuring exceptional service throughout their dining experience.

What You'll Do

As a Host/Hostess Cashier, you'll play an essential role in delivering outstanding hospitality while supporting the day-to-day operations of our dining venues.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, and seat guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Deliver exceptional guest service while creating a positive dining experience from arrival to departure.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit card, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain settlement paperwork in a consistent and organized manner.
• Accurately record all Food & Beverage revenues, payments, complimentary transactions, and coupon settlements.
• Serve menu items according to established portion and presentation standards.
• Relay orders to the kitchen and assist as a food runner when needed to support service operations.
• Restock supplies, products, and service items to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
• Communicate guest compliments, concerns, and service issues to Food & Beverage Managers and Supervisors.
• Support servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient guest service.
• Maintain awareness of restaurant operations and guest needs throughout each shift.
• Build positive working relationships with team members and guests.
• Promote outstanding hospitality and professionalism at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, restaurant, cashier, or host/hostess roles preferred.
• Strong cash-handling and customer service experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when needed.

Additional Information

Casino employees may be required to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License. The cost of licensure is covered by Happy Valley Casino.
