Position Summary
As a Dining Room Host, you are the first impression of the Hartville Kitchen experience. Your warm smile and friendly attitude help create a welcoming environment for every guest who walks through our doors.
You will greet guests, manage seating arrangements, accommodate special needs and group sizes, and assist in preparing the dining room for a positive guest experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude
- Determine party size and seating needs
- Escort guests to appropriate tables
- Provide menus and answer basic questions
- Monitor seating availability and wait times
- Assist in setting up and rearranging tables for larger groups
- Ensure dining room entrances and host areas remain clean and organized
- Support other team members as needed
- Perform additional duties assigned by management
Schedule Requirements
- Availability between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
- Must be available to work Saturdays and evenings
- Part-time and full-time opportunities may be available
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to move tables and chairs as needed
- English communication skills required
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred, but not required
