The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression for guests by providing friendly and efficient service upon arrival. This role supports daily taproom operations by greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, coordinating reservations, assisting with guest inquiries, and helping ensure a positive customer experience. The Host/Hostess works closely with the service team to support smooth operations and contribute to a warm and inviting atmosphere for all visitors.
This position is located in Staten Island, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage guest seating and coordinate waitlists.
- Answer guest questions and provide accurate restaurant information.
- Communicate with servers and restaurant staff to support smooth service.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming host stand.
- Assist with guest arrivals and departures to ensure a positive dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience preferred in a customer service, hospitality, restaurant, or guest-facing role.
- Experience greeting and assisting guests, managing reservations or seating arrangements, providing excellent service, and supporting daily front-of-house operations is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to creating a welcoming experience for all guests.
- Experience working in a brewery, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting is a plus.
- Must have open availability, including weekends.
