As a Host/Hostess, you'll be one of the first people our guests meet and an important part of creating a warm, organized, and memorable dining experience.

We're looking for someone who enjoys welcoming people, communicates clearly, stays organized, and can help keep the flow of the restaurant running smoothly from the moment guests arrive.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Brings strong communication and hospitality skills to every guest interaction
  • Can greet and seat guests warmly and professionally
  • Is comfortable answering phones and following reservation procedures
  • Can maintain an organized seating chart and support fair station rotation
  • Is comfortable handling cash and room-charge procedures accurately
  • Keeps the host podium, menus, and surrounding work area clean and organized
  • Can read, speak, and write English
  • Is comfortable working with money and handling guest questions
  • Can stay attentive and professional while standing and walking throughout the shift

What You'll Do

As a Host/Hostess, you'll greet and seat guests while helping ensure a quality dining experience and an organized front-of-house operation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure tables are properly set before seating guests
  • Maintain the seating chart and rotate stations appropriately
  • Greet and seat guests and provide menus
  • Answer the telephone professionally and follow established reservation procedures
  • Follow accurate cash-handling and room-charge procedures
  • Organize and maintain a clean service podium
  • Maintain an inventory of needed host-stand supplies
  • Ensure menus are clean and ready before each shift
  • Become familiar with hotel facilities, locations, and hours so you can assist guests with questions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate Is:

  • Friendly, welcoming, and guest-service focused
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy restaurant environment
  • Comfortable communicating by phone and in person
  • Able to take reservations accurately and respond to guest questions
  • Comfortable with cash handling
  • Able to work independently while supporting the broader front-of-house team
  • Previous cash-handling experience is preferred; the job description lists one year of cash-handling work experience

Schedule

  • Full-time positions are scheduled 30 or more hours per week
  • Part-time positions are scheduled fewer than 30 hours per week
  • Scheduled hours and days may vary based on business needs

Physical Requirements

  • Standing/Mobility: Continuous standing and frequent walking at a fast pace throughout the shift
  • Lifting: Limited lifting up to approximately 30 lbs. when clearing tables or buffets and moving tables
  • Bending: Frequent bending for general cleanliness and related duties
  • Stairs: Ability to climb approximately three steps as needed during the shift
  • Environment: Position is performed indoors
