Job Summary
Provide warm, friendly, and professional service while welcoming and seating guests, managing phone calls and takeout orders, and accurately completing cash and payment transactions. Ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to hospitality and creates a positive first and lasting impression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete start-of-shift and end-of-shift duties as outlined in the busser checklists.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room.
- Clear tables promptly after guests leave; clean tabletops, chairs, and booths, check floors, and reset tables with clean silverware.
- Communicate clean and dirty table status using the provided tablet’s colored functions.
- Arrange tables for large groups as needed and return them to their original setup after guests depart.
- Refill ice bins and restock server stations.
- Inspect restrooms hourly and clean as necessary.
- Adhere to sanitation and safety policies to protect the establishment and guests.
- Clean drink spills, sweep floors, and safely dispose of broken glass.
- Assist the service team with food delivery and pre-bussing as needed.
- Use headsets to communicate efficiently throughout the restaurant during high-volume periods.
- Coordinate with servers and hostesses to ensure smooth seating, table utilization, and guest service.
- Thank guests as they leave and hold doors open when possible.
- Be available to fill in as directed by the manager to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 40 pounds
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while communicating clearly and effectively with coworkers and management
