Job Summary:

Knollwood Country Club is a warm, welcoming, family-oriented members-only club that blends exceptional hospitality with a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere. We are seeking a polished, personable, and service-driven Host/Hostess to be the face of our dining experience. This key position ensures every member and guest feels recognized, welcomed, and well cared for from the moment they arrive.

The ideal candidate thrives in a high-touch service environment, enjoys building relationships with members of all ages, and takes pride in creating a seamless and gracious arrival and departure experience.

Day-to-Day:

• Greet all members and guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression.

• Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments to ensure smooth and efficient seating, with attention to member preferences and flow of service.

• Recognize and acknowledge returning members and families, fostering a sense of belonging and familiarity.

• Coordinate with the service team and kitchen to manage pacing and ensure readiness for seating.

• Communicate effectively with members regarding wait times, reservation status, and any special requests.

• Maintain a calm and organized front-of-house presence during peak times.

• Ensure the host stand, entrance area, and menus are tidy, clean, and inviting at all times.

• Provide thoughtful assistance to families with children, seniors, or guests with accessibility needs.

• Respect the privacy and confidentiality of members at all times.

• Support club events and holiday dining experiences with professionalism and attention to detail.

• Prior experience in a host, front desk, or guest services role preferred, ideally in a hospitality, restaurant, or club setting.

• A naturally friendly, warm, and engaging personality with a professional demeanor.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with children, adults, and seniors alike.

• Ability to stay composed under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Able to stand for extended periods and move throughout dining areas as needed.
