HOST

This is not a job for the faint of heart. The host acts as an enforcer of the rules, guardian of the gate, and helper to those in need. The host is the face of the restaurant, setting the tone of the guest’s dining experience. This is the person who people come to if they've got a concern or a question. The following are duties of the Host:

  • The host must have excellent people skills along with an energetic and professional personality.

  • Greet and acknowledge guest in a timely manner.

  • Seat guest at clean tables, avoid "over seating" and communicate to wait staff.

  • Balance multiple guests at any given time.

  • Knowledgeable of servers' duties and responsibilities, table numbers and station assignments.

  • Record reservations as set forth by company standards.

  • Communicate Guest needs or concerns to manager on duty.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

  • Must have strong organizational skills.

  • Meet/exceed guest’s expectation.

  • Meet/exceed team expectations.

  • Ensure restaurant is clean, stocked and secured at close of shift.
