Host Operations & Success Lead
Posted
Village Miles is an early-stage India-focused travel marketplace connecting travelers with local hosts in villages, rural communities, and lesser-known destinations.
We are hiring a Host Operations & Success Lead to build a trustworthy, scalable host journey from first contact to booking-ready listing and ongoing success.
You will own host sourcing and onboarding pipelines, verification, listing-quality checks, training, support, issue resolution, SOPs, and operating metrics. You will work closely with product and engineering to turn recurring host and traveler problems into better workflows and product improvements.
This role requires practical judgment: approve accurate, ready hosts—not raw volume. You will protect listing honesty, traveler trust, host responsiveness, and service quality while keeping the process simple for rural and first-time digital users. You should also use AI, automation, and agents responsibly to reduce repetitive follow-up and improve consistency, with human review for trust-sensitive decisions.
Requirements
• Approximately 3–7 years in marketplace operations, vendor/partner operations, hospitality, travel, customer success, community operations, or trust and safety
• Strong pipeline ownership, verification, SOP, documentation, and metric-management skills
• Ability to coach hosts, resolve issues calmly, and coordinate across product, engineering, and support
• Strong operational judgment; success is measured by accurate, booking-ready, responsive hosts—not raw approvals
• Practical knowledge of AI tools, automated workflows, and AI agents for follow-up, data quality, support, and reporting
• Comfortable working with rural partners and people with varying levels of digital familiarity
• Telugu and English are strongly preferred; Hindi is a bonus
• Strong people skills and willingness to build and lead a small team as the operation grows
Application evidence requested: current city, compensation expectations, notice period, languages, relevant marketplace or hospitality experience, AI/automation tools used, and answers to host-verification and incident scenarios.
