The Host/Hostess, typically the first person a guest meets at The Continental, sets the atmosphere for the dining experience. Along with taking reservations, to-go orders and seating the host/hostess assists fellow employees and management in providing an exceptional experience to all those who visit Ford House.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Work in tandem with the management team to successful operate The Continental.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of both Continental Services and Ford House.
- Complete the training program for the Host position.
- Support the servers and The Speedster attendants with food and beverage service.
- Greet, direct and seat guests at tables.
- Take, place, package and provide to-go orders to guests.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and order of The Continental dining room.
- Complete any tasks assigned by the management staff.
- Passionate about excellent guest service and the ability to anticipate guest needs.
- Professional in appearance, attitude, and communication.
- Enthusiastic and able to bring positive energy to the workplace.
- Considerate, patient, and willing to contribute to the team.
- Possess the highest work ethics, personal morals, and integrity.
- Previous host/hostess experience preferred, but not required.
- Availability to work during The Continental & The Speedster’s hours of operation.
- Work with fellow team members and bring a positive energy to our culture.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
