About the role
Our Food & Beverage team at Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking a passionate and attentive host/hostess for our Coastal Italian restaurant, Saint Bibiana. Our host/hostess is the first impression of our restaurant and sets the tone for the dining experience. In this role, you will act as a brand ambassador, ensuring each of our guests feels their presence is expected and welcome and that we are excited about their dining experience.
What you'll do
- Extend guests a warm and gracious welcome and escort them to their table
- Be attentive to guest’s needs and assist in providing an exceptional and memorable dining experience
- Maintain a clean and well-organized front of the house environment
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials
- Manage guest reservation system
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a guest / customer facing role in an upscale environment
- Previous host and reservation management experience preferred
- Hard-working team player with a positive attitude
- Passionate about hospitality, dependable and detail-oriented
- Excellent presentation and grooming standards
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organization and communications skills
- Proficient with computer applications
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in various work areas
