Position Summary

Jo's American Bistro is seeking a friendly, professional, and guest-focused Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Answer phone calls and assist with guest inquiries.
• Coordinate seating arrangements with servers and management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.
• Assist with guest needs and resolve concerns promptly and courteously.
• Thank guests as they depart and invite them to return.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
