Hostess (Seasonal)

This position is responsible for ensuring a high quality of service in greeting and assisting our guests. Be familiar with the restaurant menus and be able to upsell.

• Welcome guests to the venue and consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
• Greet guests upon their departure.
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists to assist guests regarding all food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way.
• Manage reservations.
• Have full knowledge of food and beverage lists and promotions.
• Escort the guest to dining or bar areas.
• Provide menus and announce the waiter/waitress’s name following outlets policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Coordinate with the team about available seating options.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when communicating with guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Previous hostess experience is an asset
• Knowledge about the point-of-sale system is an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Basic food safety certificate
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
