Hostess - Restaurant DeGolyer

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and memorable dining experience. This role manages guest seating, reservations, and waitlists while supporting the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service in a fast-paced, upscale casual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.

• Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments efficiently to optimize seating flow.

• Escort guests to tables and provide menus, ensuring a seamless start to their dining experience.

• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and assist with reservation management.

• Communicate with servers, bussers, and management to coordinate smooth service during busy periods.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area.

• Assist with special requests, events, or seating accommodations as needed.

• Uphold the restaurant’s standards for guest service, presentation, and professionalism.
