Hotel - Hotel Room Inspector

Starting Wage: $18.00 hour

The Hotel Room Inspector is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest readiness across all guest rooms and public hotel spaces. This role conducts regular and detailed inspections, identifies and documents deficiencies, and collaborates with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Front Desk teams to uphold brand quality and guest satisfaction standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts systematic inspections of guest rooms, corridors, suites, and public spaces using standardized checklists.
  • Verifies housekeeping quality, maintenance completion, and amenity presentation according to brand and property standards.
  • Evaluates overall room condition, cleanliness, and functionality.
  • Identifies and documents deviations from established standards, providing clear feedback and follow-up actions.
  • Records inspection findings using digital tools or checklists.
  • Captures supporting photographs as needed and generate accurate reports for management and relevant departments.
  • Partners with Housekeeping supervisors, Maintenance Staff, and Front Desk teams to resolve inspection related issues.
  • Conducts surprise guest room inspections upon request to assess the guest experience and ensure consistency in presentation and amenities.
  • Ensures all safety devices (smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting) are functional and properly maintained.
  • Recommends process improvements and assists in revising inspection procedures and standard operating practices.
  • Maintains accurate inspection logs and submits reports promptly.
  • Ensures confidentiality and integrity of all inspection data and guest-related information.
  • Keeps inspection tools, devices, and materials in proper working order.
  • Reports any malfunctions or supply needs promptly to management.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time. This position is determined to have a potential for possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
