Hotel Manager

Grounded in our purpose of caring for people so they can be their best, the Hotel Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the hotel and delivering exceptional experiences for guests, colleagues, owners, and the community. This role serves as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and partners closely with the Managing Director to execute the hotel's strategic objectives, financial goals, and brand standards.

The Hotel Manager provides leadership and oversight for core operational departments, including Rooms, Housekeeping, Spa, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Culinary, and Stewarding, ensuring operational excellence, colleague engagement, guest satisfaction, and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Business Leadership

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to all hotel operations, ensuring alignment with brand standards and organizational objectives.
  • Maximize ownership returns through effective asset management and operational excellence.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously evolve the hotel's business strategy with a focus on market positioning, guest experience, and financial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with ownership and key stakeholders.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to drive informed decision-making and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Oversee departmental budgets, profit and loss statements, forecasts, and annual business planning.
  • Ensure a consistently high-quality guest experience through continuous improvement of service standards and operational processes.

  • Maintain hotel facilities to the highest standards, preserving asset value and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead capital expenditure planning and execution of property improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage technology and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiencies and guest engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, security, health, and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion environmental sustainability initiatives and responsible business practices.

Strategic Thinking & Continuous Improvement

  • Balance the needs of guests, colleagues, ownership, and the local community while driving business performance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across all operational areas.
  • Utilize data and performance metrics to identify challenges, test solutions, and measure outcomes.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and effective decision-making in dynamic and evolving environments.
  • Lead change initiatives that positively impact financial results, operational efficiency, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction.
  • Promote a "test and learn" mindset to encourage innovation and adaptability.

Leadership & Driving Results

  • Communicate a clear vision and direction to team members and stakeholders.
  • Execute strategic priorities through department leaders, ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Respond proactively to guest and colleague feedback, taking decisive action when improvements are needed.
  • Identify and eliminate barriers that impact service delivery or operational effectiveness.
  • Foster collaboration, transparency, and cross-functional teamwork throughout the hotel.
  • Lead confidently through ambiguity, pressure, and changing business conditions.

Talent Development & Team Engagement

  • Inspire colleagues to serve as brand ambassadors and deliver exceptional hospitality experiences.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop future leaders through meaningful career development opportunities.
