Hotel Security Supervisor

  • Monitor Security Guards to ensure that correct methods of operation are carried and out and policies are observed.

  • Coach, appraise and discipline guards as appropriate and document actions taken.

  • Assist with training of Security Guards and make recommendations as needed.
  • Monitor guards on posts, making periodic checks to ensure that they are alert and on assigned posts.

  • Check the written work of Security Guards and give advice when needed.
  • Conduct lineups and ensure that incoming guards are properly briefed and well groomed.
  • Inspects work area for cleanliness and ensures that all equipment are accounted for and in order.
  • Prepare daily incident reports.
  • Respond to emergency and serious matters and report to Senior Security and other appropriate persons.

  • Ensure that all complaints, calls for assistance and other matters have been dealt with and proper reports have been completed.

  • Performs other reasonable duties as requested by management

  • The Company operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, you may be rostered to work shifts, which may change from time to time.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma required

    • Able to manage a diverse workforce

      • Skills in communicating and establishing effective Working relationship with employees, law enforcement organizations and the public.

        • Excellent written and verbal communication.

        • Basic computer skills.

        • Three years experience in Security or Law Enforcement.

        • Completed an advanced Security Training Course.

        • Knowledge of Supervisory practices and ability to direct and discipline staff.

        • Knowledge of Security Policies and Procedures.
