Home Intervention Counselor

WCMHS is seeking a Home Intervention Counselor, you'll help young children build the social, emotional, and developmental skills they need to succeed. Through structured daily routines, engaging activities, and individualized support, Home Intervention Counselors create a safe, consistent environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Working alongside clinicians and fellow educators, Home Intervention Counselors are part of a collaborative team focused on meeting each child's unique needs. This is an active, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with children, values teamwork, and wants to make a meaningful impact on children and families every day.

Summary of Duties

• Provide direct, on-site support to children through daily programming that promotes developmental, social, and emotional growth
• Assist in planning and carrying out age-appropriate activities aligned with individualized needs and group goals
• Support children in managing emotions and behaviors using developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed strategies
• Follow and implement standards established by NAEYC, Vermont Department of Licensing, and New Leaf Family Center
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment at all times
• Communicate observations and relevant information with the supervising clinician and program team
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to program goals

The pay range for this position is $22.34 - $23.48 per hour.
