Job Title: Part-Time House Cleaner & Home Organizer

Location: East Berlin, PA 17316

Schedule: Recurring, 12-15 hours/week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 / hour (based on experience)

Start Date: Monday, November 23

About the Role

A family in East Berlin is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and thorough part-time house cleaner to help maintain a spacious, multi-level home (4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 4,500+ sq. ft.).

This position focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, handling weekly laundry and linen care, and tackling rotating deep-cleaning and home organization tasks to keep the household running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Regular & Routine Maintenance

• Bathrooms (5 total): Thorough scrubbing and sanitizing of showers, tubs, sinks, mirrors, and toilets; restocking essentials.
• Kitchen: Cleaning and sanitizing countertops, sinks, backsplashes, and exterior appliance surfaces; wiping dining tables.
• Flooring: Sweeping and mopping hardwood and tile throughout all living areas. (No carpet)
• Dusting & Surfaces: Dusting baseboards, ceiling fans, light fixtures, blinds, shelving, furniture, and decorative items.
• Bedrooms & Linens: Stripping and remaking beds with clean linens; laundering, folding, and putting away household laundry.
• General Upkeep: Emptying trash and recycling bins, standard tidying, and maintaining overall order.

Periodic Deep Cleaning & Detail Tasks

• Appliance Detailing: Interior deep cleaning of the oven, refrigerator, and microwave as scheduled.
• Cabinets & Storage: Interior and exterior wipe-downs of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry.
• Surfaces & Walls: Spot-cleaning walls, doors, baseboards, switch plates, and trim.
• Windows & Glass: Washing interior windows, glass doors, and interior sills.
• Organization: Assisting with pantry, closet, or toy storage organization beyond standard surface tidying.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven residential cleaning or housekeeping experience (large single-family homes preferred).
• High level of dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to handle routine bending, lifting, reaching, and stair climbing in a 4,500+ sq. ft. home.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Reliable transportation to and from the home in East Berlin, PA.
• Must be comfortable around a busy family home environment.
• References from previous housekeeping clients/employers required; background check may be requested.
