About Our Family
We are a busy, high-functioning household rooted in faith, strong values, and a deep appreciation for a well-run home. Our environment is warm, casual, and active, shared by two professionals with demanding and dynamic schedules. One partner works long hours with a highly structured workload, while the other maintains a flexible, fast-moving calendar that often requires real-time adjustments—so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable with shifting priorities and can adapt smoothly as the day evolves.
We take great pride in how our home runs and value consistency, order, and thoughtful support that helps everything function seamlessly behind the scenes. A beloved 90 lb St. Bernard/German Shepherd service dog is a central part of daily life and requires weekly homemade meal preparation.
Above all, we are looking for someone who understands the importance of being a steady, trusted presence in a private home environment. Trust, discretion, and long-term alignment are not just preferences for us—they are foundational to how we build working relationships. This is not a transactional or short-term support role; we are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a household team, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow into a deeply reliable, long-term point of support within the home.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
- Genuinely upbeat and warm, someone who brings positive energy into the home and enjoys the work they do
- Highly reliable and punctual; lateness and last-minute cancellations are absolute dealbreakers
- Flexible and adaptable, able to shift priorities mid-day without frustration when the schedule changes
- Relationship-oriented and present, not a background presence; you want to actually connect with the people you work for
- Discreet and trustworthy, someone who understands that access to a private home is a privilege and acts accordingly
- Proactive and self-directed, capable of seeing what needs to be done and doing it without constant direction
- Comfortable working independently in a large home during the week, while also collaborating closely with the family on bigger projects
- Comfortable working in a home where firearms are legally owned and responsibly maintained
- A genuine love of animals is a big plus; our dog is a constant presence and central to daily routines
