About Our Family

We are a busy, warm household with two children, ages 9 and 3, a beloved family cat, and a wonderful live-in nanny who handles primary childcare. With a fractional chef, a biweekly cleaning crew, and a landscaping team already in place, we are looking for someone who can become a steady, hands-on part of that support system and make day-to-day life easier.

Our lives move quickly. One parent works in medicine with an unpredictable on-call schedule, and the other travels frequently and is often away three weeks a month. Because our time together is limited, we are looking for someone who can help us get the basics back on track so we can actually spend family time together.

Our kids are energetic and curious, and this person will naturally be part of their world. Our household is welcoming, and we have had great experiences with the people who have worked with us over the years. We are hoping to find someone who shares our appreciation for a clean, organized, healthy home and brings the kind of attention to detail, follow-through, and clear communication that helps a household feel well cared for.

Despite our busy schedules, we are committed to creating more quality time for family moments — whether that means supporting the kids in their activities, sharing a calm dinner, or simply enjoying time together at home. The right person will help make that possible by integrating thoughtfully into our household and creating more ease in the background so we can fully exhale during our downtime.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

We are looking for a self-directed, proactive individual who thrives in a high-energy, dynamic family environment. You take pride in your work and are comfortable overseeing daily household tasks independently while maintaining a calm, organized presence in our home. You show up consistently and take initiative. You are the kind of person who notices the small things before they become big things — the empty snack drawer, the forgotten appointment, the backpack that needs to be packed, or the detail that will make tomorrow morning run more smoothly.

You are comfortable learning the rhythms of a household and building trust through consistency, discretion, and good judgment. You can shift between detailed tasks and bigger-picture coordination, keeping priorities clear even when the day changes quickly. Whether you are handling a delicate garment, mapping out errands, or coordinating with a vendor, you bring a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach.

You are organized, stay several steps ahead, and are detail-oriented — able to anticipate needs and tackle tasks without needing to be told, while always keeping each family member in mind. We value someone who can read the room, step in when necessary, and handle tasks with steady energy. A great sense of humor and love for the energy that young children bring is a must!

Bonus points if you love Halloween (we take it very seriously here!) or happen to be from the Northeast — we have a soft spot for that particular mix of practicality, warmth, and “let’s get it done” energy.
