Housekeeper

SUMMARY:

The housekeeper reports to the Environmental Director. The hours are 7 am-3:30 pm during the week and 6 am-2:30 pm on the weekends. The housekeeper works to ensure that the facility including resident rooms, hallways, offices, and other specified areas are kept clean and in orderly condition. The appearance and maintenance of our facility is one of the reasons that families choose our facility when seeking placement for a loved one.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Use of housekeeping equipment to keep the facility clean, orderly, and attractive always. Provide daily housekeeping service as assigned in a friendly manner using procedure as outlined in the housekeeping policy and procedure manual by doing the following:

1. Must know and practice resident’s rights.
2. Must know and practice the policies and procedures of Independence Care Center of Perry County.
3. A housekeeper works to provide a clean and pleasing appearance of all areas of the facility.
4. Housekeeper should be a service-minded individual with a cheerful, customer service attitude.
5. A housekeeper works to provide a clean and pleasing appearance to all areas of the facility.
6. Housekeeper must be able to address the concerns and cleaning needs of the facility in a friendly and professional manner.
7. A housekeeper must have good organizational abilities, follow-up skills, and attention to details both in their work areas and when communicating with our residents, resident families, and other team members.
8. A housekeeper must have a team-oriented attitude and be able to take direction from the Housekeeping Supervisor.
9. The housekeeper assists in mealtime activities, including escorting the residents to and from meals and assisting the residents with their meals.
10. All other duties as assigned.
