What You'll Do
As a Housekeeper, you'll help ensure our residents and team members have a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment every day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining resident rooms and common areas
- Ensuring assigned areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming
- Following established cleaning schedules and completing required work records
- Properly using cleaning products, disinfectants, equipment, and supplies
- Following safety procedures and manufacturer instructions when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Using appropriate personal protective equipment when handling infectious materials
- Maintaining adequate housekeeping supplies and communicating supply needs to supervisors
- Operating, cleaning, and properly storing housekeeping equipment
- Keeping work areas organized and free of hazards
- Following infection control and cross-contamination prevention procedures
- Reporting hazardous conditions, equipment malfunctions, or other safety concerns
- Using supplies, equipment, and other resources efficiently
- Working collaboratively with team members to support the overall needs of the campus
- Treating residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with kindness, respect, and dignity
What We're Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma/GED or one year of previous work experience in lieu of a diploma/GED
Preferred:
- At least one year of housekeeping experience
We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous housekeeping experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important.
