Housekeeping Attendant

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Site Administrator, the Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeping Attendant performs disinfection of areas in the facility and assists in the transport and set-up of furniture, equipment, and supplies. The Housekeeping Attendant will also be responsible for performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Grade Ten or equivalent required
Experience required working with The Placid Foundation Fathers
Building Service Worker Certificate preferred
Experience working with the elderly is preferred
Housekeeping/Environmental experience an asset
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to deal effectively with conflict in a diplomatic and professional manner
Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
Exhibits an open and sincere approach by demonstrating respect and compassion for everyone equally
Recognizes and responds effectively to verbal and non-verbal cues with exceptional active listening skills
Demonstrates flexibility by changing routine to accommodate resident needs
Accepts, implements, and evaluates change with a positive attitude
This position requires you to be vaccinated against all required communicable diseases under Covenant Care’s OHS policy
