Housekeeping Supervisor
Description
Schedule: 3 days per week
This is an active, hands-on leadership role for someone who can direct the team, follow through on assignments, maintain standards, and help keep daily operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Assigning rooms and directing housekeeping staff.
- Inspecting completed rooms and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Monitoring room status and ensuring assignments are completed on time.
- Training employees and reinforcing housekeeping procedures.
- Communicating effectively with housekeeping staff and the front desk.
- Stepping in to clean guest rooms when staffing is short due to call-outs or no-shows.
Qualifications:
-Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
-Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to hold staff accountable while maintaining a professional and respectful work environment.
-Willingness to lead by example and perform hands-on cleaning duties as needed.
-Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred; practical skills and leadership ability will be evaluated.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, particularly Spanish or Haitian Creole.
- Physical: Requires excellent written, verbal and listening skills, eye for detail and perfection, proficiency in customer service and employee relations. Also entails much walking, bending, stooping, carrying, reaching and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently. Must be able to handle multi-task projects at one time.
