Under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer, the VF Housing Manager ensures that all properties are rented, in compliance, and properly maintained. With a strong focus on tenant satisfaction and operational excellence, the VF Housing Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the VF Housing management team and coordinates compliance and training activities with Executive Director of VF Housing Development.
What You'll Do.
- VF Housing Management. The VF Housing Manager ensures that the following are completed in compliance with Fair Housing, IFA, HUD and other regulatory requirements.
- Tenant Income Certifications (TICs) completed in a timely manner for all move ins, move outs, and annual requirements.
- Complete interim work required to prepare for upcoming certifications
- Collaborate with VF Housing staff on referrals and waiting list/potential tenants. Assist with interviewing and verification of applicants.
- Participate in rental agreement, rules, utilities confirmation, and leases.
- VF Housing Tenant Support. The VF Housing Manager ensures that the following are completed in an effort to provide VF Housing tenants with the very best living experience possible.
- Answering VF Housing phones during office hours – after hours handled by maintenance
- Providing courteous and helpful assistance to tenants as requested during office hours
- Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with tenants
- VF Housing Compliance. The VF Housing Manager ensures that the following are completed to maintain compliance with IFA/HUD/HOME/LIHTC/MHEG
- Complete Reports due to IFA before the deadline
- Ensure housing units comply with city and state regulations, permits, and licensing requirements
- Maintain require tenant files
What You'll Need
- 2-year degree in Business, Bookkeeping, or equivalent education/experience required
- 5 years of Low Income Housing Tax Credit Property Management experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS Excel & property management software strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects
- Have a valid drivers license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
