About the role

Navitas is seeking a HR Advisor to support the delivery of HR services across a diverse portfolio. Working closely with HR Business Partners, managers and employees, you will provide broad generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle, helping to deliver effective people outcomes and a positive employee experience.

This is a varied role that combines HR advisory, coordination and administrative responsibilities. You will support a range of HR activities including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, performance management, remuneration, reporting, policy interpretation and HR projects. You will also work closely with HR Services and specialist teams to ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently and consistently.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide generalist HR advice and support to managers and employees across a broad range of people matters, including the interpretation and application of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, employment contracts, policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and administer employee lifecycle activities, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, payroll-related changes and HR records management.

  • Support HR Business Partners and managers with employee relations, performance management, workplace issues, WHS matters and the consistent application of employment obligations and people practices.

  • Contribute to HR projects, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives through the preparation of workforce data, analysis, insights, presentations and administrative support.

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Relevant HR qualifications and experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Experience interpreting and applying Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience preparing reports and analysing HR data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and use sound judgement.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach and strong problem-solving skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a unionised or Enterprise Agreement-covered environment.
