Job Description\:

The HR Advisor is a key member of the People Services team, reporting to the Head of HR and supporting the successful delivery of HR initiatives across M&L Defence Solutions. The role combines project delivery and HR advisory support, ensuring people-focused projects are delivered effectively and aligned with business objectives.

Working collaboratively with HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence, project teams and wider stakeholders, the HR Advisor will lead or support a range of people projects, applying project management best practice to drive outcomes, improve processes and enhance the employee experience. Core duties\:

  • You will support the delivery of Defence Solutions people projects, applying project management best practice throughout
  • You will lead smaller HR projects aligned to the Defence Solutions People Plan, with guidance as needed
  • Ensure you coordinate project plans, actions, risks, stakeholders, communications and progress reporting to ensure successful outcomes
  • Use people data and insights to identify risks, recommend solutions and support workforce planning
  • You will partner with business leaders as an integrated team member, delivering accurate, efficient support informed by people insights and expertise

Essential Skills\:

  • Demonstrable project management skills, with the ability to plan, organise and deliver competing priorities
  • Ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring successful project and business outcomes
  • Considerable analytical skills, using data and insights to inform decisions and recommendations
  • Ability to conduct stakeholder analysis, identifying key stakeholders, assessing influence and impact, and tailoring engagement approaches accordingly.
